In February 2009 the Minister for Energy Eamonn Ryan announced a €100m home insulation grant package. €50 m of this is allocated for private homeowners who wish to upgrade their homes. To be eligible for this grant the dwelling must be built before 2006. It is expected that homeowners may save up to €700 per year on home heating bills. Homeowners who wish to avail of this grant must apply for a minimum of €500 worth of grant assistance. The individual grant contributions for each insulation application are shown in the table below.
It is not possible to avail of grant assistance for either roof Insulation or Cavity Wall Insulation individually as both solutions do not meet the minimum €500 limit. In most cases the home owner will choose to install Cavity Wall Insulation and upgrade attic Insulation at the same time. Your local Ecobead installer can install Cavity Wall Insulation and install attic insulation. We supply both fibrous and rigid attic insulation in addition to supplying the innovative Attic Access Platform. Please take a look at our range of products in the OTHER SERVICES section of this website. If you are interested in applying for this grant scheme please register your interest with SEI as soon as possible.
